WHAT WE BELIEVE

The DC Metro Life Alliance believes that each human life is inherently valuable from fertilization to natural death. Our mission is to make euthanasia, infanticide, abortion and destruction of human embryos socially, ethically and legally unacceptable solutions to human problems and to promote positive alternatives to each of these acts.

The DC Metro Life Alliance contends that human rights belong to all human beings, regardless of their age, size, ability, health, or dependency. Everyone counts. That’s why we work to defend unborn children from abortion and to support their mothers. It’s why we oppose efforts to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide, which endanger all of us and devalue the lives of the elderly, sick, and disabled. It’s why we think even the youngest members of our human family should be treated with respect rather than like disposable research material.

We are proud to be the DC affiliate of National Right to Life. Founded in 1968, the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of affiliates in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and more than 3,000 local chapters, is the nation’s oldest and largest grassroots pro-life organization. Recognized as the flagship of the pro-life movement, National Right to Life works through legislation and education to protect innocent human life from abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide and euthanasia.
